Mr. Mark A. Lemke is a senior associate in Braden, Hinchcliffe & Hawley’s Los Angeles office. Mr. Lemke concentrates his practice in Insurance Coverage, Insurance Coverage Litigation and Bad Faith Claims, and Subrogation Litigation. Mr. Lemke is also experienced in Construction Defect Litigation, Business Litigation and Employment Law.
Mr. Lemke has a broad base of experience dealing with every aspect of complex cases, from drafting pre-trial, discovery and dispositive motions, and taking and defending depositions, to assisting with pre-trial preparation, including briefs, motions in limine, exhibit selection and jury instructions. He is also well versed in conducting discovery, selecting experts, drafting coverage opinions, and handling named and additional insureds’ tenders.
Mr. Lemke earned a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley. He graduated with high honors, and departmental honors for his dissertation. While pursuing his law degree from the University of Southern California, he earned honors grades for his dissertation and directed research.
Mr. Lemke is one of The California State Bar’s Access & Fairness Leadership Academy Scholars. In addition, he serves as Communications Chair, member of the Board of Governors and member of the Judicial and Elective Office Committee for an affiliate of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He serves as a liaison to the Multi-Cultural Bar Alliance and is active in the California Minority Counsel Program. He is a member of the Mexican American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and The Breakfast Club.
Mr. Lemke is admitted to practice in California, and before the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal.
